Cadet Youth Volleyball Training

Cadet Youth Training Program

Online registration is available NOW and is ongoing throughout the winter and spring for IVA's Cadet program. Running each Friday evening beginning January 8 between the hours of 6:30-8p, IVA's very popular Cadet Youth Training Program will continue through the first Friday of May. Coordinated by IVA's terrific youth program director, Jill Bakle-Niehoff and assisted by numerous IVA staff members, the Cadet program is geared toward teaching the young, developmental volleyball player basic skills in serving, forearm passing, overhead passing (setting), attacking, and all the critical movement skills required to affectively perform each skill. New in 2010 will be the introduction of competition in the Cadet program. Once athletes have developed a foundation of skills, team play will be introduced. Participation during January and February will certainly benefit the athletes ability to be prepared to compete in the latter months.

Who's invited? Any girl or boy roughly eight years old or older is welcome to train in the program. Each set of curriculum will run for one month periods. For example, once our January Cadets graduate and prepare for February, their curriculum will become a bit more advanced and challenging. Any new Cadets enrolling for the first time in March will begin at square one until they show that they've caught up. Athletes can enroll up front for the entire four-month Cadet program, or enroll one-month at a time. Attend one month or all four.

Cost per month for IVA's Cadet program is $95. Besides the training, here's what's included in the fees:

  • First Month's Fee ($95)...IVA Practice Tee
  • Second Month's Fee ($95)...IVA Practice Hoodie
  • Third Month's Fee ($95)...VB Rags Knee Pads
  • Fourth Month's Fee ($95)...VB Rags Back Pack

Pay the entire $380 up front and receive the entire Cadet package on January 8!
